Minister inaugurates electrification, water projects in Zamfara

The inauguration was part of activities to mark the Sixth year anniversary of Gov. Abdul’aziz Yari.

The projects were inaugurated in Tsamiya, Rakuma, Gwarguwa, Adarawa, Rafin Dankure and Gidan Dakko communities in Bakura Local Government and Jaurin-Fulani and Jaurin-Rogo in Gusau Local Government Area.

The semi-urban water projects were also inaugurated at Garbadu and Morai communities in Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of the state.

Fashola commended Yari for executing the projects, saying they

had direct bearing to the lives of people.

He said “what we are witnessing today is the real execution of the manifesto of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“I commend Gov. Yari for these projects that we believe will enhance socio-economic activities among the people.

“I am calling on the good people of Zamfara to continue to give full cooperation to the present administration.”

In his speech, Yari said the state government spent billions of Naira to execute the projects, aimed at improving socio-economic activities in the state.

He said the present administration always considered the basic needs of the people, noting that “that was why we gave priority to education, healthcare, water supply and rural road while executing projects”.

He urged the benefitting

communities to watch over the facilities and to avoid vandalism.

The minister also launched the distribution of fire fighting vehicles purchased by the state government to local government councils in the state.
