The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the incident occurred in Shiroro Local Government Area of the state last Friday.
Dr Bello said in a statement issued in Minna that ``I have already put machinery in motion to ensure that the four months old boy receives the best medical attention possible so he can recover quickly.''
``It is heartbreaking to see an innocent boy go through such a near death experience.''
She, however, expressed happiness that the boy was still alive and assured that everything would be done to bring the perpetrator to justice.
The governor’s wife then appealed to the public to always exercise restraint when they were angry ``so that innocent children or even adults don't become victims of unwarranted violence.''
