To take your swimming sessions to the next level, supplement them with on-land strength training that can increase speed and endurance.
How to: Begin in a high plank with feet hip-distance apart. Perform a pushup, with your elbows tucked into the sides of your body. At the top of your pushup, let both feet fall to the right and stack them as you open to a side plank, with your left arm reaching towards the sky. Your body should resemble a "T" shape. Return to your starting high plank position. Then repeat on the other side. Continue alternating. Repeat four to six times on each side.
