Why do married men lie about their marital status?

The major thing that moves married men to lie about their marital status.

What drives men to forget their marital vows, their sense of duty and their sense of responsibility, and go after someone else?

This terrible behavior has been around for so long that every adult must have seen or heard about someone who risked it all for a taste of forbidden fun outside matrimony.

Remember Thin Tall Tony, one of the contestants on the Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show in 2017.

Like almost everyone on the show, TTT got involved with a housemate of the opposite sex and also got in some steamy sexual activities on live TV.

As if that was not enough, when he was expressly asked if he was married or not, he refused to say YES as many expected him to do because, truly, not only was he married, he also had two kids.

His has been said to be a special case; and in his defense, he has said everything he did was all part of a game plan.

He did all that, according to him, to try to win the competition grand prize of #25million.

So, away from TTT and his failed pursuit of #25million, the biggest reason why married men hide their wedding rings, deny their wives and kids is mostly just to get sex from other unsuspecting women - plain and simple.

It all boils down to the selfish need to feel the thrill of sleeping with someone else. And in most cases, women will say no to this is they ever get to know that one is married.

This need for extra marital sex can be as a result of several reasons. It can be caused by intentional or unintentional sexual neglect by their wives, sexual addiction on their part, or just plain sexual indiscipline.

Several married men have somehow failed, or never bothered to get a hold of their sexual impulses. So no matter how hard their wives try to satisfy their sexual needs, it's never enough for them.

When else you see a married who refuses to acknowledge his wife and marriage, be sure that there's a very high chance that he's chasing sexual gratification somewhere down the line.
