Heather, never thought she would still be opportune to walk down the aisle with her dad on her wedding day because her father Ralph Duquette is a cancer survivor who has been wheelchair-bound.

However, Ralph had secretly taken it upon himself to make sure he make his daughter happy on her big day by enduring seven months of gruelling physical therapy in order to be ready for his daughters wedding held in Maine, US.

This tears jerking video shows how a proud Ralph Duquette surprised his daughter as he got up from his wheelchairs and walked her down the aisle.

"I was blown away and completely speechless, all I could do was cry and hope and pray we made it safely” Heather told TVNZ.

The courageous Ralph didn’t just made it to the alter with his daughter he disregarded his failing health and got her in a heartfelt traditional dance.

"Not a single person knew, except for my dad, he wanted to make sure it was a huge surprise” Heather further said.
