I know my girlfriend loves me but I know she doesn’t love me enough to marry me in the next two or three years

Please I need your advice. My girlfriend and I have been together for four years and I’m planning to take my relationship more serious because I’m planning for our future.

I know my girlfriend loves me but I know she doesn’t love me enough to marry me in the next two or three years. I really don’t know how to convince her. I’ll be turning 27 very soon.

Hi Julius,

It is good you’re planning to be more committed in your relationship, even wanting to take it to the next level by asking her to marry you.

You may have known each other for four years but it would be wrong assume your girlfriend doesn’t love you enough to say yes to your marriage proposal in the next few years if you haven’t tried proposing before.

I’ll advice you ask her first before coming a conclusion and if she has her reasons try and listen in order to reach a reasonable agreement. Try as much as you can not to sound like she under any kind of pressure to get married, allow her make her decisions on her own terms.
