Take the poll and let's know how you feel about this.
Opinions are diverse and perspectives vary. We even gave an account recently about people who were able to stay friends with their exes and how they managed to do that.
So it is established that some people prefer to remain friends with their exes and that is admirable if that is your outlook on life and relationships.
We are wondering though, how close is that friendship supposed to be? Do you go really close to them again or will the friendship be an awkward, distant one due to the history you guys have.
If you are going to remain friends with them, will it be up to the point of inviting them for your wedding ceremony?
Will you ever consider an ex cool enough to invite them on the day you marry?
Personally, this writer does not subscribe to the idea of staying friends with exes, so inviting them for his wedding ceremony is completely unimaginable.
If you are going to be friends with an ex, it should be kept at the level of the occasional phone call, the logical goodwill message to congratulate them on their successes [if you somehow see or hear about it] and other social communications as that.
And if you are getting married, your ex is not someone you want to invite to that ceremony especially if you guys had a flaming sexual past. It does not matter how amicably you guys separated.
To do so will be playing roughly with fire and might be considered a disrespect to your spouse.
But this is just the opinion of the writer. Now let us know what you think about this in the poll below.
