The Manchester United defender has proposed to his girlfriend of eight years on Monday, December 12, 2016.

Francesca shares the news through her Instagram feed, posting a pic of herself and Matteo in an intimate embrace as a message on her hand read "I said yes."
The model, who is also an interior designer also shows off the diamond ring with which her boyfriend of eight years proposed.

Captioning the snap in Italian, she wrote "Exactly eight years after our first meeting... I said yes to the man of my dreams."
Francesca moved to Manchester with her boo after his transfer to Manchester United from Italian football club, Torino in 2015.
