If you own a smartphone, you may be one of the 54% of people that does something that you probably shouldn’t be doing. It is risky and can cause a lot of problems down the line. What is it that we are talking about? Why, sending someone racy photos or texts of course!
When you are in a relationship you may tend to send racy photos to your partner while they are at work or away on business so that they know what they get to come home to. The problem is, once you break up with that person, what happens to those photos? Does your ex go through and delete them from their phone? There is a good chance that they have not and may end up using them as revenge if the break up was not an amicable one.
A survey looked at 1,500 different smartphone users and found that over half had sent some kind of racy message to a significant other. Of that group, 70% of 18-24 year olds had done this. Only 32% of these people however asked that the content be deleted after a break up. Even then, how can you be sure that they did?
If you feel that you want to send a s*xy text or photo, there is nothing wrong with that as long as you trust the person that you are sending it to. However use caution. Send photos that don’t include your face so that even if they don’t delete it, no one will know that it is really you. Send a warning that you are about to send a photo like this as well just in case their phone is open or lying out somewhere where others can see it.
