The prize includes a five-star reception and honeymoon, a bridal gown and three bridesmaid dresses, photography and flowers
The best wedding present is not having spend a dime for your big day.
A couple recently won a £25,000 luxury wedding after creating a board game based on their upcoming nuptials.
Joanne Hodge and Brian McNicoll both from Dundee, entered the competition, run by the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews, after heeding a friend's advice.
The lucky couple had to make a video and wedding box using social media.
Joanne and Brian who have two sons 3-yr-old Zack and 1-year-old Ethan then emerged winners of the competition after going through many tasks.
Joanne speaking to reporters said: “Finding out we had won was incredible, at first I just couldn’t believe it.
“We had so much fun taking part in the competition, getting our friends and family involved.
“I am overwhelmed to be able to say I am getting married at the Old Course Hotel next year, it’s not something I ever expected to happen to us.”
Brian added: “Some of the challenges our friends and family voted for us to take part in were crazy.
“My first was to experience what it was like to be a bride – this meant everything from waxing to a bridal dress fitting.
“I went with my Dad for the fitting and we had a right laugh, so did all my friends.
“Joanne was challenged to face her fear of animals and this involved an extremely fun day at the St Andrews Aquarium.”
The prize includes a five-star reception and honeymoon, a bridal gown and three bridesmaid dresses, photography and flowers.
