Bride weds at dad’s sick bed

Having a wedding without her father’s presence wouldn’t have turned out to be the perfect wedding she has always dreamt off.

A woman from North Carolina moved her wedding venue to a hospital so her terminally ill father could be a part of her big day.

Kaila Kirby, planned to tie the knot in July, but her father’s pulmonary fibrosis took a turn for the worse.

According to the bride, having a wedding without her father’s presence wouldn’t have turned out to be the perfect wedding she has always dreamt off.

“I just kind of wanted my Dad to give me away on my wedding day,” Kalia Kirby told WBTV.

Cakes and flowers were arranged by the hospital staff to celebrate the wedding after a sum of $45 was donated with just few hours to prepare.

Kaila Kirby and her fiancé Daniel Pardue said their vows surrounded by family and friends at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.

The bride made sure her dad didn’t miss her wedding.
