Hollywood actor says he won't celebrate first wedding anniversary with Amal Clooney

Clooney said he worries a lot about Amal who currently represents ousted Maldives president Mohamed Nasheed

Hollywood actor, George Clooney told reporters that he'll miss his first wedding anniversary to his human rights lawyer wife, Amal Clooney.

The A-lister got married to his wife on September 27, 2014 in a star-studded wedding ceremony held in Venice, Italy.

54-yr-old Clooney said he'll be missing his first wedding anniversary as a result of his commitment to render a tribute to Ocean's Eleven producer Jerry Weintraub, who died in July.

"Unfortunately, I have to speak at Jerry Weintraub's memorial. This is his last producorial way of screwing me over, that on my anniversary, I have to go to his memorial," he told Entertainment Weekly.

Speaking about his wife, Clooney said he worries a lot about Amal who currently represents ousted Maldives president Mohamed Nasheed.

"She's a grown woman with her own career. It's tough when they're stabbing her co-counsellor (defence lawyer Mahfooz Saeed) in the head a couple days before she gets there. It's a little nerve wracking. But she's doing the right thing and she's doing it for the right reasons" he said.
