Wrestling is fake, you say. I could beat up a wrestler, you say. My mom could probably also beat up a wrestler, you say.
Stop saying those things, because a former pro wrestler just prevented a robbery in Coral Springs, Florida, with a few tasty finishing moves:
Let’s recap what happened:
1. A man named Shad Gaspard, formerly of the WWE tag team Cryme Tyme, decided to swing by a convenience store to grab an iced tea.
2. A man named Jason Felix, formerly someone who made sound life decisions, attempted to rob that same convenience store while Shad Gaspard/half of Cryme Tyme was inside.
3. Felix brandished a realistic-looking BB gun at Gaspard, who by the way is 6’6” and 285 pounds.
4. Gaspard seized the gun from Felix, used a chokehold to escort the would-be robber out of the building, and then body-slammed him into submission.
That’s a fact. He body-slammed him. It looked like the Hulk playing with a pool noodle.
Gaspard told WPLG of Miami: “I just did what came natural.”
This answer makes a lot of sense given that, once again, Gaspard used to be in a tag team called Cryme Tyme.
Reports did not specify whether Gaspard loomed over Felix’s defeated figure and muttered, “There used to be a time for crime in this city, but as long as Cryme Tyme’s here, that time for crime is . . . never” right before the cops showed up. But we really hope so.
