Apparently, people watch a lot of porn on their phones during thanksgiving

Adult webcam site CamSoda knows what you're doing under the table.

The holidays are a time for family, friends and plenty of food, but we all have other needs as well.

Even in the cold winter months, humans still need to get off—but sitting down to watch porn isn't easy when you've got company or are at the family home.

Thankfully, smartphones are here to save the day.

CamSoda, an adult webcam site, released a report this week on the porn habits of Americans on Thanksgiving day. Mobile traffic accounted for a whopping 91.9 percent of all views during last year's Turkey Day, with desktop traffic dropping to just over 8 percent. Normally, mobile traffic and desktop traffic account for 75 and 25 percent of traffic, respectively, but over Thanksgiving, people were apparently away from their usual masturbation stations and had to make do.

The data from Thanksgiving is a bit different from other studies the site has done—like a recent one that looked at porn consumption during the World Series—but there are a few familiar trends. There tends to be a big drop in users during the main event (CamSoda saw a 34 percent drop during last year's Thanksgiving dinner hours) followed by a big spike afterward. And just as the World Series data showed that some states drowned their playoff sorrows in online smut, the Thanksgiving data shows that some states are way hornier than others.

Step right up Utah, and take a bow: Traffic across the state spiked up 40 percent after the Thanksgiving meal (around 10 p.m.) compared to what it was during the day. Louisiana saw a 25 percent spike, which isn't too shabby, but no one's close to Utah.

Sure, CamSoda is just one site (albeit one that really, really likes holidays, and celebrates them with dick-puppets), but there's other industry data that backs up the surge trends.

In 2015, Pornhub found that traffic dips heavily during the meal period, then starts to creep back up at 11 p.m. The site also found that there's a decent surge before the meal, so some people obviously like to go into the family hours with a little preemptive stress relief.

We're not here to judge how or when you watch your porn over the holidays. Masturbation is a perfectly healthy habit—just make sure you wash your hands before dinner.
