Sioux Falls police arrested a man Sunday afternoon for attempting to bypass both police and firefighters in an attempt to save his beer from a fire.

There’s something to be said for the lengths in which a man will go to save his beer.

Sometimes, it’s just an acrobatic catch or maneuver. But in the case of this Sioux Falls man, he was willing to trounce through a fire.

Sioux Falls police arrested a man Sunday afternoon for attempting to bypass both police and firefighters in an attempt to save his beer from a fire. Three people were injured in the apartment fire, but that didn’t scare off the unnamed man, according to Keloland. That’s not even the strangest part of this story, though.

Police announced the arrest in a bizarre attempt at a meme. Normally, interns get the blame for these kind of social media failures, but there’s no way that’s the case here.

Any millennial would know better than to try to pack this many words into a meme.

Also, what even is this format? Why the hell is there a hashtag in the picture’s text? It literally serves no purpose.
