A new intiative from Apple helps you stay focused
Apple watches will help you keep New Year’s resolutions
Every time you tackle your weekly target, you’ll earn the special “Ring in the New Year Achievement,”
Apple has launched an initiative encouraging Apple Watch owners to use the device to keep their fitness-minded New Year’s Resolutions. Beginning January 2—because let’s face it, nobody actually starts bettering themselves right on January 1—you’ll track your goals on the Apple Watch’s Activity app, which depicts your progress against daily movements like standing, moving, and exercising through a series of multicolored rings. Close all three Activity rings in a week and you’ll earn a fancy prize.
What’s that prize, you ask? Well, how about the satisfaction of vigorously grabbing 2017 by the balls and plowing into the year as a healthier, happier, and fitter man, and having the technological proof that you’re capable of setting a goal, achieving it, and enacting a very real life change? Does that do anything for you?
If not, would STICKERS sweeten the pot? Every time you tackle your weekly target, you’ll earn the special “Ring in the New Year Achievement,” receive a notification on your Apple Watch, and best of all, be rewarded with a fresh pack of digital stickers that you can share with your friends in iMessage.
So enjoy your New Year’s Eve celebration—even if it won’t be as lavish as these expensive packages—and know that a fitter body awaits if you work hard in 2017.
