Here's how you Can get as ripped as Chris Hemsworth, according to his trainer
Zocchi revealed exactly how the actor stays fit on on Australia’s Today Show, saying that whether or not Hemsworth slims down or puts on muscle depends on the role he’s gearing up for.
After all, building and maintaining the muscular physique of Thor takes some serious commitment, and the help of his personal trainer, Luke Zocchi.
On September 4, Zocchi revealed exactly how the actor stays fit on on Australia’s Today Show, saying that whether or not Hemsworth slims down or puts on muscle depends on the role he’s gearing up for.
For Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok, which hits theaters on November 3, 2017, Zocchi has Hemsworth doing a lot of heavy weightlifting for an hour a day, six days a week. His workouts also include boxing, pullups, and both medicine ball throws and bear crawls while harnessed to resistance bungees. He’ll usually finish off with heavy weights or battle rope exercises.
Back in July, Hemsworth told Men’s Health that he has added flexibility and functional training into his routine.
“Bulk is nice, but being more agile is definitely important,” he said. “I’ll do a ton of boxing or Muay Thai workouts. I surf a ton and I do a lot of yoga, too.”
And no workout regimen would be complete without an accompanying healthy diet. Zocchi says Hemsworth eats six times a day, his meals consisting of clean protein, vegetables, and brown rice.
