This workout was created for a packed gym using artificial intelligence.
When it comes to working out at a gym, nothing can zap your motivation faster than having to wait around for a piece of equipment to free up. And if your workout involves supersets or timed rest periods, you can forget it altogether. That’s why every guy should have a couple of go-to workouts in his repertoire for this exact situation.
Obviously, body-weight workouts are king, because while others can always take your equipment, they can never take your body. (And if they do, you’ve been kidnapped and should probably stop worrying about your workout.)
One of the best workouts you can arm yourself with is one that requires only one piece of equipment that you can claim for the duration of your session. Created using the Freeletics app, which uses artificial intelligence to assemble customized workouts, this full-body circuit can be done using just a pullup bar. (And the moves that don’t require a bar can be done beneath it to save your spot.)
Watch the video above to see Courtney Paul (whom you might recognize from Bravo’s Work Out New York) demonstrate this four-exercise circuit incorporating the pullup, jackknife, Spider-Man pushup, and toes to bar. You’ll perform the movements back to back without rest and complete the circuit four times.
And if you feel at all bad about hogging the pullup bar, remember that you pay your membership dues like everyone else. Or just buy a pullup bar for your home. It’ll be one of the best investments you ever make!
