5 foods to avoid before air travel
When suspended hundreds of feet above the air, the last thing you want is a bloated stomach. Here are foods to avoid before flying.
Recommended articles
Before flying, you should avoid any foods that can result in excess build up of gas in your stomach. Eating beans before a flight will leave you feeling gaseous throughout the flight.
2. Coffee:
Not only does coffee leave your mouth smelling, like, well coffee, the caffeine in it can leave you jittery, anxious and dehydrated throughout the flight.
3. Spicy food:
Hot peppers can leave you with stomach discomfort, which is the last thing you want to deal with during a flight.
4. Chewing gum:
While it is sometimes advised to chew gum to stop your ears from popping, swallowing excess air builds up gas in your stomach, leaving you feeling bloated.
5. Raw garlic:
Eating garlic and going out immediately after is ill advised because it causes bad breath and in some cases, body odour. Now imagine how to deal with this while in mid-air.
