Tourist killed by elephant
An Italian tourist was killed by an elephant as the man tried to move closer for photos.

According to police reports, the 66 year old Italian tourist, Fernando Mocclola, was trampled to death on Sunday, September 18, 2016 by an elephant.
Muchangi Mutava, police chief of Malindi says that tourist saw the animal at a watering hole in Swala Camp, within the Kulalu Ranch, and wanted to get closer for photographs.

The animal then became enraged and charged at Mocclola, who sustained serious injuries and later died at the camp.
The Italian man had been in the middle of breakfast with his wife before he excused himself for what was supposed to be a brief photo session.
The couple has been in Kenya since August 2015 and were due to leave the country in upon the expiry of their tourist visa.
