The Bauchi state government has pledged its commitment to building it's tourism potential with the aid of the Czech Republic government.

It was revealed that state governor, Mohammed Abubakar had earlier led a delegation to the Czech Republic for a series of meetings with technical partners.

In a press statement signed by Ibrahim Sani, the Director of Press to the Governor, said the partnership between the two parties would boost wild life conservation and anti-poaching measures towards attaining world class practices.
It was further revealed that state governor, Mohammed Abubakar had earlier led a delegation to the Czech Republic for a series of meetings with technical partners.
Having visited the Department of Tropical Agriculture, Life Sciences University, Prague, Czech Republic, a meeting was held between both parties and an agreement was reached to focus on the development of the Yankari Game Reserve, Sumu Wild Life Park and other conservation potential of the state.
It was also emphasized that youths and other stakeholders would be involved in the development of small and medium scale farming using affordable mechanisation.
Furthermore, Sani revealed that visit to the Life Sciences University was to fine tune educational cooperation between the school and the state university in Gadua.
The cooperation between the two universities will be in the areas of lecturers and students exchange programme and the establishment of Faculty of Agriculture, the press release said.
Meanwhile, all necessary technical and bilateral details will soon be worked out by relevant government agencies and organisations.
