How to cook this alternative Nigerian dish

The rainy season is officially back and what better way to enjoy it than with this cowfoot porridge.

Cow foot

White yam

Ground Ehu (Calabash Nutmeg)

Black pepper

Habanero pepper

Onion

Stock cubes

Salt

Preparation of cowfoot porridge

1. Rinse and cut the cow foot in a pot, add onion, stock cubes, black pepper, ground ehu (calabash nutmeg) and ground pepper.

2. Cook the cowfoot till done to your liking.

3. Add the yams and salt.

4. Cook till the yams are well done.

5. When the yams are cooked add the vegetables.
