Graffiti In Lagos Osa 7 tells CNN he's inspired by Banksy

Street art and graffiti is not a common trend in Lagos, Nigeria, but artist, Osa Seven, is quickly changing that.

Osa Okunkpolor, popularly referred to as Osa 7, is an urban GFX and Graffiti Artiste who uses contemporary art to tell his stories.

Osa 7  in collaboration with A2Creative hosted the 7th Element, Nigeria's first ever graffiti exhibition on May 28 and 29, 2016 in Lagos.

The event was successful and had many Nigerian celebrities in attendance. Osa 7 was also instrumental in the creative campaign and branding of the Guinness Africa Special launch that spanned across several cities in Nigeria.

Osa 7 has made a reputation for himself as a leading graffiti artist in Nigeria, creating designs for KIA as well as Guinness.

CNN recently interviewed Osa 7, and Osa 7 revealed that setting up the 7th Element was inspired by the worldwide appeal of successful graffiti artists such as Banksy.

 

Banksy is a graffiti artist, a filmmaker and a political activist. He is arguably the biggest, most popular and most successful graffiti artist at the moment.
