The art fair will serve to create a string connection between Nigeria and the contemporary art world across Africa and the rest of the world.
The creation of ART X Lagos is to solidify and consolidate the important role of visual arts in the creative industry.
The event also seeks to create a bustling art market as well as position Lagos to emerge as the cultural capital of Africa.

The show will provide valuable insights on what local artists have to contribute to the art scene as well as encourage any patrons to shop for artwork in Lagos.
ART X Lagos will see a gathering of a selected group of invited art galleries from Nigeria, across Africa and other countries come together to showcase the most creative pieces of contemporary.
There will be 45 established and newbie artists showcasing there. Some of the galleries visiting are Art House – The Space (Nigeria), Bloom Art (Nigeria), SMO Contemporary (Nigeria), Goodman Gallery (South Africa) and Stevenson Gallery (South Africa) and others.
The three-day art event will hold at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos from Friday, November 4, 2016 to Sunday, November 6, 2016.
