Half the time, you have no idea what the hell you are doing, you make nasty decisions in your life pretty much every second of every day. You’re a child with the responsibility of an adult and you are getting overwhelmed.
You feel like you should have it all figured out, but you don’t. Not to worry, being in your 20s isn't all about getting engaged and breaking the rules, they are actually some of the best years you’ll ever have. And here is how to make the most of it.
1. Realize there’s a lot you still don’t know
Stay in school people. Pick up an 'effing' book once in a while, porn books don't count, listen to criticism and get over your proud self.
You are never going to know it all.
2. Be prepared to fail
Failure is bound to happen. You’re human and you are destined to make mistakes. When such happens, take a breather and remember: everyone’s been there.
3. Take risks
If you are at some crappy job that is slowly killing you and sapping away all that happiness - Get Up And Leave. If you are sure your relationship is shitty - find another partner.
If you have always dreamed of leaving your small town for bigger and better things — Go for it!
What’s the worst thing that could happen?
4. Learn to save
Y'all can thank me later for this. Never stop saving as young as you can be. This doesn’t mean you have to be a cheap bastard and not have fun with friends, but every now and then, try keeping some cash for future purposes.
5. Travel
See the world while you are young and vibrant. My point is, take advantage of the time you have before you get officially old.
Meet new people, sample different dishes, explore other cultures and traditions. Who knows, the love of your life might be waiting in another country.
6. Respect your friends
We know some people are soul suckers and super shitty, so when you find a nice, kind, decent human being, hold onto him/her for life.
7. Don’t worry about finding true love
Finding the one is about as easy as figuring out who the devil is. At times it’s exciting and scary and might look like it’s getting somewhere, but mostly it’s just pretty damn confusing.
Note: Heartbreaks will come but you shall be fine!
