Maxivive, one of the Nigerian menswear designers that were scheduled to showcase at South African Menswear Week, #SAMW AW16, teased with pieces from his Wet 2016 collection.
The urban menswear designer showcased on the first day of the 4 day event. Although, we are yet to see the full collection, he has given a little sneak peek via his Instagram account of his new collection.
The sneak peek featured a red v-neck sweater with black writings on them, amidst other bright colored pieces of clothing. We can’t wait to see the rest of the collection.
According to the brand, "We will be showcasing our WET '16 collection tomorrow for the first time in Capetown during the highly sorted south African menswear."
This is Maxivive’sfirst time at SAMW and is a huge deal for him, as the glamorous event is regarded as one of the most professional and talked about fashion weeks in Africa.
The event will feature over 30 menswear designers showcasing their collections for Autumn/Winter 2016, including Nigeria’s Kola Kuddus’ Kola Kuddus, Orange Culture’s Adebayo Oke-Lawal, Tokyo James’ Tokyo James.
