Late last year, he won the model of the year award at the Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2015 and since then he’s been unstoppable.

In a chat with Pulse TV, he shares how he got started, what sets him apart and what the future holds for him.

He started out modeling because of his sister and her friends, who used to be models. “I didn’t have it in mind before to become a model. My younger sister was a model, she started modeling before me. She’s not into modeling anymore. It all started in 2004, she started with Modella”.

After building his body and taking professional classes by 2006 he was ready. Initially his mother didn’t approve of it, as he was the last child of a single mother and a strong christian at that but with time she warmed up to the idea.

He credits his good physique to eating right, fruits and working out three times daily. “It’s a lot of stress...I try to eat good food. I try to eat fruits a lot and most importantly, I work out a lot. I work out 3 times a day.”

He also believes his 8 pack abs and mysterious eyes set him apart from other models. He says there really is no difference from his regular self and runway personae. He sights pay issues as his biggest challenge as a model and says he doesn’t seem himself quitting modeling anytime soon.

Finally he discloses that if he wasn’t modeling, he’d been playing football and that he has future plans of rebranding himself. Five of his favorite designers at the time of the interview include McMeka, Mai Atafo, Modella, Kinabuti and Kiki Kamanu.
