House of Kaya expresses northern heritage in runway collection
Kaftans, flowing gowns and a mix of different colours and fabrics, were showcased at LFDW by House of Kaya.

The designer showcased conservative significant fashion inspired by Northern Nigeria. The simplicity of the designer’s pieces was shown as models walked effortlessly on the runway in Eko Atlantic, Lagos.
The collection consisted of kaftans and gowns including a mix of different colours and fabrics like ankara. The dresses were made of up compelling details like appliques, pearls and embellishments.
In order to make this garments inclusive in the contemporary world of fashion, House of Kaya went for two-toned garments, frills, flowing sleeves, print details, and belts.
As models strutted on the runway all with different kinds of head wraps, the atmosphere was set with an up tempo northern soundtrack.
House of Kaya was found by Ibrahim Aminu eight years ago.
