This year has been amazing for fashion in Nigeria, as we have moved from a local to not just a national pedestal but an international platform.

From the likes of Maki Oh being invited to the white house in America to having international fashion presence in Nigeria, the Nigerian fashion industry has gained international recognition.

Just like the #PulseList 2015 by Pulse, multinational tech company, Google, has compiled a list of the most trending searches from their search engine, which include the fashion industry.

Unfortunately, despite all of the leaps and bounds within the Nigerian fashion industry, none of the fashion brands were Nigerian or even African but they were some of the most famous brands in the world.

Some of the fashion brands include Gucci, Chanel, Givenchy, Prada and Versace. Check out the gallery above to see what other fashion brands made the list and vote below for your favorite fashion brand from the list.
