Bigger & Better, NSFDW Season 2 is here

Over 48 student/aspiring designers from across Nigeria will showcase their creativity at the Season 2 of the Nigerian Student Fashion and Design Week scheduled for June 5th, 6th at the University of Lagos.

Season 2 of the Nigerian Student Fashion and Design Week (NSFDW) will hold on the 5th and 6th of June 2014 at the University of Lagos.

The Nigerian Student Fashion and Design Week presents an opportunity for fashion enthusiasts to get a glimpse at the future of Nigerian fashion, and brands.

"Nigerian Student Fashion & Design Week is committed to providing a platform for new and up-and-coming designers to showcase to one of the biggest fashion markets in Nigeria, this being the student, young and trendy upwardly mobile young generation," organisers say in a press release.

Expected to feature "over 48 student/aspiring designers from across Nigeria over a two day period as well as over 30 exhibitors", organisers are expecting to have over 10,000 people watch the shows and visit the exhibition "showcasing the creativity of the next [fashion] generation."

“It aims to discover new talent and give opportunities to those that would not normally be able to afford to participate at the major Nigerian Fashion Weeks.”

NSFDW is produced by BlackNBold Fashion House, Africa Fashion Week London and Mahogany Productions & Events and will attract buyers and fashionistas from around Nigeria.

A successful first season has made the NSFW an event to watch out for in the Nigerian fashion industry and organisers are promising an even bigger and better second season.
