10th anniversary edition themed 'Africa Rising: Haute Couture'
Foremost modelling competition; EMLN set to hold on October 8th 2017 with theme; Africa Rising: Haute Couture.
This year's edition which doubles as the 10th year anniversary has already kicked off with a model search and a launch to formally kick off the celebration.
"In the last 10 years, Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria has played an immense role in placing the African modelling industry on the global map" the EMLN team revealed.
Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria is unique in the sense that it provides the opportunity for young girls to enter the fashion world, become models and make fabulous careers.
"The theme for this year’s competition is Africa Rising: Haute Couture and the aim is to showcase the potential of Haute Couture in Africa to the world through fashion pieces and catwalks.
Part of the vision of Elite Model Look Nigeria is to make modelling dreams come true, inspire African youths and this year with the 10th anniversary, the focus is not only to impact lives through modelling but also to promote a new generation of great African youths" the creative director reveals.
The internationally recognised competition is credited for discovering top supermodels; Cindy Crawford, Gisele Bundchen, Alessandra Ambrosio including Nigerian models such as Chika Emmanuella, Mayowa Nicholas, Victor Ndigwe and recently Davidson Obennebo, who was the first African to win the world finale in the last 33 years.
The EMLN platform has given models the opportunity to walk the runways for top international brands including Versace, Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce & Gabbana, H&M as well as feature in major campaigns for Hermes,Chanel, Balmain, Calvin Klein and many more.
Dress Code for the 2017 edition is 'Fashion Haute Couture'. Elite Model Look Nigeria is organized by BETH Model Management Limited.
