Mimi Onalaja, Layole Oyatogun to host this year's edition

The awards organized by Exquisite Magazine will hold its 8th edition on 27th November 2016 at the Intercontinental Hotel Lagos. Nigerian designers including Wanger Ayu, Tubo, Trish O, Fablane By Derin, Rikaoto by me and more were unveiled alongside Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade and more top celebrities were names released for the 2016 edition's nominee list.

“The criteria for the ELOY Awards focuses on the character of the individual, her ability and achievements and how her work impacts the Nigerian society, through Direct and Indirect leadership, Service, Commitment, Achievement, Integrity and Character and we look forward to celebrating all nominees and winners and all women” Tewa Onasanya, the editor in chief of Exquisite Magazine shares the criteria for nomination.

About Mimi Onalaja

Omowunmi "Mimi" Onalaja graduated with a Bachelors Degree in International Relations from Covenant University in 2010 and has been on a constant journey to find happiness and fulfillment since then. This resulted in a career switch after a short stint in Human Resource Consulting to TV Presenting and Hosting, which she does presently and loves.

She also has an Acting Diploma from the New York Film Academy with wild dreams and big plans to leave her mark in the Entertainment Industry, from Nigeria to the World. Mimi is currently a member of the Ebonylife TV family, presenting the show "VVIP Events" where she works the red carpet at major fashion, lifestyle and corporate events in Nigeria; co-hosting "Play 2 Win", a seasonal game show as well as "Destinations Africa", a travel show with an aim to highlight the glory of the Continent. She also writes a weekly personal fashion and lifestyle column on StyleVitae aptly called "For The Life Of Mimi". Mimi loves a good laugh and values family, friendship and good ol' fun! With a recent appreciation for travel, expect her to see as much of the world as she can and document it too!

About Layole Oyatogun

Layole Oyatogun is a Media Personality and Actress. A graduate of Mass Communications from the University of Lagos, she started her career co-presenting an entertainment show called 'Star Dust' with her younger sister, Mofe Oyatogun on MITV. She moved on to Silverbird Television where she worked for seven years.

While at Silverbird TV, she conceptualized, presented and produced the Cadbury Breakfast TV show, Page 3, MBGN Diary and numerous documentaries, promos and fillers. As the presenter, producer and scriptwriter of Page 3, a fashion and lifestyle program which has been ranked among the best of its kind, Layole made indelible marks in the industry through her no-holds barred style and feature of celebrities on the show. She also played a key role in the organisation and selection process of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant.

Layole has featured in the following movies 30 Days by Ego Boyo and Mildred Okwo, Damage, Unconditional by Uche Jombo, Mrs and Mrs Johnson, U- Turn by Grace Oboba, Trapped, The Inn and many more movies. Layole is also a seasoned Red-carpet host, with stints at the red carpet of various Fashion weeks both home and abroad, including; Arise Fashion Week Nigeria, Lagos Fashion and Design Week, Africa Movie Academy Awards AMAA, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Joburg, Pretoria, Malta, and New York. She was the only red carpet host at the inaugural ball of President Goodluck Jonathan and Vice-President Namadi Sambo in Aso-rock. She has also hosted events such as Africa International Fashion Week, Nigeria's Next Super Model, Denizz Fashion Show, City People Awards for Excellence, Africa Fashion Week Nigeria, Luxury Beauty Brunch, Ethan and Harriet Product Launch Weddings and many more.

Layole was nominated at the 2012 Nigerian Broadcasters Award in the category Most promising and young presenter of the year and also at the 2013 ELOY Awards in the Female TV presenter of the year category. Layole has now established her Production company, Layole Oyatogun Productions which produces Tv shows and movies, she's set to take over the world with interesting and captivating content.
