Converse is going through an appearance overhaul, as it introduces its new Converse All Star Modern, with a style that is very much like the prior 1920 All Star style.
It seems like Converse is moving with the ever changing times, as last year, the Chuck Taylor style got switched up. The brand new All Star Modern boasts comfort in two styles, titled, the Hi and Ox.
It consists of circular knit uppers with features such as Nike Hyperfuse, contoured full-length Phylon outsole, neoprene tongue and lining all to make a lightweight and stylish shoe.
According to Bryan Cioffi, vice president/creative director of Converse Global Footwear, “The Converse All Star Modern is a perfect fusion of our sport heritage with modern design. With this collection, Converse is delivering a comfortable, lightweight product that’s new, exciting and modern, but still feels very Converse.”
The shoe has also taken a more fashion-forward and modern twist. It features a debossed All Star ankle patch and HTM logo on the heel pull tab for a more subdued appearance.
The shoes are available in five colors: black, action red, lucid green, soar blue and white. The entire line will be on sale on Thursday, June 16 for $140 for the Hi and $130 for the Ox at Converse retail stores and Converse online.
