Watch everything that went down on day 1 of The Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2016 showcase held on July 2nd 2016 at the Eko Hotel & Suites.

The Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2016 showcase kicked off to an impressive start on July 2nd 2016 at the Eko Hotel & Suites with emerging designers showing their latest collections.

The runway show was divided into three shows altogether where upcoming designers presented their latest collections.

The first show kicked off at 1pm with emerging designers Ekaz Signature, Latreia Designs, Tubo, El Amanah Clothing, House of Salem, Signature Secret, Yoti Ahma making an impressive display of prints, fusion of silk, chiffon and handpainted looks brightened the stage with the African Ankara prints making a show.

The second show kicked off at 4pm with more designers who revved up the show a bit more; Faridas atelier, Eve design Online, Neopele concepts, Tiannah styling school collection for Da viva, Elawe Couture, Nipo Skin for Da Viva, Dozzy Couture, Tasha Gillies, Niki Kay.

The third show a 8pm featured impressive collections from designers; Niiffe, Asake Oge who showcased a line of athleisure with print details, Jreason brought impressive tailoring and fit on pieces styled to perfection on the runway, Somandra stitches, Beryl Qouture by Anita Beryl all presented wearable arts.

Morin O showcased luxury leather goods, Nugo's Clothing, House of Borah, Coz Designs, JPKoutureby Hadassah all lit up the stage. Bankole Thomas opened with Nollywood actor Wole Ojo who put on a dapper show, Zara and Zoe also presented leather goods with Colours of Cue, Eminence 1129 and TIR Fashion House rounding off yesterday's show.
