The wife of Nigeria's Vice President Dolapo Osinbajo's Initiative will be showcasing goods including African print bags and other fashion items at the exhibition stands of the fashion week set to hold at the Olympia West Hall on 9th and 10th September 2016.

The Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2016 edition (AFWN 2016) was held on 2nd & 3rd July 2016 with singer Yemi Alade -who is the ambassador for the AFWL and AFWN 2016- debuting her clothing line and first ever collection.

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council(NEPC) will also sponsor the Nigerian pavilion at the anticipated Fashion Week which will see around seventy designers from different parts of the world showing their latest collections.

Mustafa Hassanali, Tina Lobondi, Nnooll, Caesar Couture, O'Saunders, JAUA, Agatha Moreno, Victoria Grace and more designers will showcase their latest collections at the fashion week.

About STEP UP

The STEP UP training program which started in February 2009, is an initiative of H.E Mrs Osinbajo, the Wife of Vice President of Nigeria.

This program trains women and men with various skills required to start up a small business. Duration of courses range from one week to four weeks. Step Up training is mobile, it moves from one location to another. From January to August this year, Step Up has trained 3,237 students.

Step up Beautiful ladies bags in African fabric, a delight to many, is the proud product of our trainees from our Bag making Course. We have trained several beneficiaries and they have become entrepreneurs locally and internationally. Some are already employers of labor.

Our former students have participated in some exhibitions- the African Fashion week Nigeria in July 2016 and the Nigerian Export Promotion Council and ITC SheTrades Round Table and Exhibition in Abuja, also in July 2016.
