Falz, Simi, Yung L, Fefe , Koker, Dj Obi, others entertain guest at 2nd edition

The Grind celebrated its 20th Anniversary with the 2nd edition of the Lagos Grill and Barbecue Festival at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island Lagos.

The event showcased the biggest, Grill and barbecue vendors, restaurants and eateries in Lagos. The list includes Grind Grill, Sean B, Grills in and out, Islander Bbq, Lala’s Grill, Kmac Grill, Delicioso Mobile Chefs, Ginger Topas & Grill, Roadstar burgers, Ready Steady bbq, Zee3three bbq, naija pitboys, buctchers bbq, Urban Fuxion and more.

The entertainment performances were top notch throughout the duration of the event, From the electrifying joint performance from Falz the bahdguy and X3music Simi to the solo offerings from Yung L Mr Marley, Fefe , Koker, Attitude, ,classiq , Kach ,Yinkz, Emmebangz and dance by balamous dance team as well as Music by Dj Obi.

The Grill Master Class was done by Grill master Grind. (GMG). “ We put together a once in a lifetime experience for Lagosians and even tourists to come and bask in and savour a real, exquisite feast of flavours.

This year’s event had over 2,000 people in attendance. We paid attention to detail, and improved on the last edition. I can’t wait for everyone to witness the next Grill and Bbq Festival.’’ Francis Ebie, Chief Coordinator of the event, says monitoring and observing the different ways the barbecue festivals are done in different countries of the world, and implementing the best experience, infusing it with our own culture and ways of doing things made this year’s event even better. Attendees participated in games which included who can eat the hottest wings. The winners of these contests went home with great prizes courtesy of the sponsors and organizers.

The Lagos grill and bbq festival supported the Ayabime Okpoh Sicklecell foundation, a NGO that supports people with sickle cell, raising awareness and providing free Medicare for the less privileged sickle cell warriors in Nigeria. There was free genotypic tests conducted by the foundation at the venue.
