Temple management to hold concert for veteran singer

The event was unveiled to the media at a press briefing which held in Lagos on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Four Points by Sheraton Hotels.

The company, using a 360 approach to management aims at synchronizing entertainment, sports, media and art and to also bridge the gulf between talents and their foreign counterparts, and guarantee that processes are in line with international best practices.

The world-class concert tagged Sunny On Sunday has been officially unveiled and is scheduled for Sunday, December 11 2016 at , Victoria Island, Lagos.

King Sunny Ade who turned 70 on September 22, 2016 has been performing for over 50 years and it is amazing how his songs have remained relevant to the society.

The veteran musician who is humble and respected has  been dubbed the king of Juju Music has been nominated twice for the Grammy Awards, also according to New York Times he is one of the best band leaders in the world and has featured in some Hollywood movies ( he is indeed a legend). His illustrious career has produced a lot of albums featuring international collaborations with Stevie Wonder, Manu Dibango, Youssou N’Dour and Salif Keita among others.

Some of the personalities present at the press conference include;  Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe, CEO, Temple Management Company, Terfa Tilley-Gyado, Communications Director, Temple Managementcompany, Mark Redguard, Head of Entertainment, Temple Management Company, Clement Ige, MD, Distinct Associates Limited, Dare Art Alade andTiwa Savage.

King Sunny Ade, in his own words promises to give a “Nuclear Show” that we have never seen before and that the grand concert will be one of his career highpoints that every music fan should look forward to. He explained, “This is must than just a birthday celebration for me. I am looking forward to giving one of the best performances of my life that will prove to people that I still have some music in me.”

Sunny On Sunday concert is set to feature a blend of some of the finest veteran international artistes the  likes of Awilo Logomba, Youssou N’Dour, Jimmy Cliff and young  Nigerian artistes like Dare Art Alade, Tiwa Savage representing old and young, the idea is to make sure there’s a connection across the generations.

Speaking about the event Idris Olorunnimbe, CEO of Temple Management Company, stated that the company was proud to shoulder the responsibility of celebrating a Nigerian music icon on a big scale that has never been witnessed before. “For us at Temple Management Company, this is a national assignment that has been long over-due and we are glad to shoulder this responsibility. We want to assure fans of King Sunny Ade of a truly world-class concert. We are working with partners in South Africa and other parts of the world to deliver a befitting celebration of a legend,” Mr. Olorunnimbe said.

During the event King Sunny Ade revealed the launch of his book, which will hold on the 27th, October 2016. Also the guitar to be used for his performance will painted by popular artist, Victor Ehikhamenor which will later be auctioned.
