The Founder and Creative Director of the All Youths Tush Awards (AYTA), Prince Dayo Oyeniran has said that the most important priority of the awards is to impact youths in a positive way.

According to Oyeniran, the awards was basically established to encourage youths who are making giant positive strides in their various endeavours, and to also give them a sense of belonging, especially at a time when many young people feel left out in the general scheme of things in the country.

In a press statement released by AYTA's Director of Media Communication and Public Relations, Tofarati Ige, Oyeniran emphasised the importance of youths in nation building.

In his words, "The major reason why we set up the All Youths Tush Awards is to give youths who are doing well across the country a sense of belonging. We have many awards organised in the country, but not many of them pay attention to ordinary youths who are doing extraordinary things in various sectors of the society including the youths in our various Tertiary Institutions. Those are the people we set out to recognise, appreciate and honour, and I believe that, to a large extent, we have been able to do that over the past 6 years."

He continued, "The primary objective of the AYTA is to empower youths to be relevant in building the nation. That is why we have a lot of activities preceding the main awards event. Youths have a very pivotal role to play in the life of any nation, and you would agree with me that even in the just concluded general elections in the country, youths were very active, especially in campaigning for the candidates of their choice and articulating their manifestoes. Any society that neglects its youths is simply gambling with the future. The theme for this year is 'Invest Early, Invest Wisely' and we will be teaching youths to start saving for the rainy day and the etiquette of money management, because the future starts now."

This year's edition of the All Youths Tush Awards which is the seventh successive one is scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 28, 2015. A rich line-up of speakers already penciled down to speak at the event include popular comedian, Oluwaseyi Lawrence Aletile aka Seyi Law; a newly elected Federal House of Representatives member, Hon. Dapo Lam-Adesina; a former Vice-President and Group Head, Marketing and Communications, FCMB, Mr. Ikechukwu Kalu, amongst others.
