For us, it's also a time to showcase our celebrities in a different light - not the show stoppers we see on stage all the time, but as good, ol' fashioned parents.
We present to you, 8 of the cutest Nigerian celebrity children - and their famous parents.
1. Boluwatife Balogun: son of leading Nigerian artiste, Wizkid, Boluwatife who happens to be pals with Ice Prince's son, Jamal is no doubt one of the cutest children in entertainment.
2. Jamal Zamani: next on the list is little Jamal, son of rapper Ice Prince Zamani. As we mentioned earlier, Jamal is good friends with Wizkid's son Boluwatife and the duo had a play date together sometime this year which had their famous parent's playing chaperone.
3. The Dakolo Children: anyone who follows Timi Dakolo on Instagram would know that this is one proud papa, and for good reason too. The Dakolo children are absolutely beautiful.
4. The Ameh Children: Dance queen, Kaffy and hubby Joseph Ameh welcomed a daughter, Eliana earlier in the year, in addition to their super cute son Sean.
5. The Okoye Clan: Singing twins, Peter and Paul Okoye not only have gorgeous wives, but also very adorable children - oldest, Cameron and sister Aliona who are Peter's children and also Andre who is the son of Paul and Anita Okoye.
6. The Idibia Children: Though from different mothers, 2Face and Annie Idibia have managed to teach us all a thing or two about peaceful co-existence as it is not uncommon to see the lovely Idibia children enjoy play dates together.
7. Zahra and Zadok Agwu: Funny man, Julius Agwu is father to 2 adorable children - Zahra and Zadok Agwu.
8. The Mercy Aigbe Children: Mercy is proud momma to a teenage daughter and younger boy.
Writer's note: On this day set aside for children, our hearts continue to go out to the parents of the missing Chibok girls. We continue to put them in our prayers and we are committed to doing our bit till the girls are safely reunited with their families.
