From using toilet seat coves instead of blotting papers, layering on concealer topped with translucent powder to bake your makeup, using milk of magnesia as primer amongst many things, hacks make life easier.
A lot of tricks and tips work to nail the look just perfect and these are just 7 more to make life easier:
1. Apply your foundation to the centre of the face then blend out.
Applying foundation from the centre of the face makes for easier application as product fades at the edges revealing a seamless blend as against starting outwards which usually come off uneven.
2. Spray perfumes on pulse points/areas of the body
Perfumes are bet sprayed on pulse points of the body; the neck, behind the ears, knees and more. These areas constantly heat up during the day 'warming' up the cologne and sending off whiffs of the perfume at intervals during the day.
This keeps you smelling good all day.
3. Apply your concealer in triangular shape to brighten the eyes
Draw a triangular shape with your concealer under your eyes to conceal while brightening up the entire eye area.
4. For a quick 'contour' feel, apply your bronzer in a '3' shape and not all over the face
Don't apply contour all over the face but apply in delicate '3' shape all over forehead, jawline and cheekbones.
5. Never use a loose powder if you have oily skin
Using too much loose powder on oily skin results in cakey makeup. If you have an oily skin, opt for a clear mattifier/matte pressed powder to keep shine away.
6. Dab on shine with a toilet seat cover
If you can't lay your hands on blotting paper to dab on shine, use a toilet seat cover to gently dab on the t-zone (Use a clean/new toilet seat cover of course!)
7. Apple Cider Vinegar
Use apple cider vinegar mixed with water as cleanser if you have oily skin.
