5 instant remedies for mosquito bites

For us Nigerians, mosquito bites on a daily basis has quickly become a norm, no matter where you are.

What makes it worse is the weather that brings them, like rainy season where there's more stagnant water and such, not to talk of the humidity.

After some research, we found remedies to treat mosquito bites.

The best part is, you probably already have these ingredients in your cabinet!

Lemons

Grab a lemon from your fridge and cut a slice off and apply it directly to the effected area. Lemons contain natural anti-inflammatory and anesthetic properties that make them very useful in treating mosquito bites.

Baking Soda

Take a glass of water and dissolve one teaspoon of baking soda. Take a clean cloth and dip it into the mixture. Leave it on the bite for 10-20 minutes. Wash it off with warm water

Banana Peels

After eating a banana take the peel and rub it on the bite and that’s it! Viola! Your mosquito bite is gone.

Aspirin

No need to go to the store and buy an itching cream! Take an Aspirin, crush it up and add enough water so it turns into a paste. You just made your self an anti-itch lotion!

Table Salt

Moisten the effected area and add some table salt. The salt will dry out the bite and keep it from getting infected.
