A former employee of Gotel TV has sued the media outfit for N27 million over breach of contract.
An Adamawa State based journalist has sued TV Gotel, a television outfit owned by Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, over breach of trust.
Kabiru Hussaini Gwangwazo Adamawa, a correspondent with Radio France International (IFR) is praying a High Court in Yola to compel the TV station to complete the payment of some equipment he supplied to the station.
The plaintiff in a suit filed before Justice Helen Nuhu by his lawyer Barrister Sunday Wugira is seeking the media outfit to pay him the sum of N27 million for the contract he executed for the company since 2011.
According to his lawyer, his client had executed a contract for the procurement of broadcasting rights for Hausa films and musicals to TV Gotel but was not paid based on the contract agreement.
The lawyer told the court that despite several efforts to ensure the payment of the remaining balance, the TV station has not complied but keep on frustrating his client hence his decision to approach the court.
Pulse gathered that Kabiru Gwangwazo was a former employee of Gotel TV from where he moved to Radio France International as Adamawa State correspondent. The case is adjourned to 23 February, 2016 for further mention.
