Florida declares 'state of emergency' in 12 counties

According to , the 53 zika virus cases are said to be imported while one is said to have been contacted sexually.

Most recently, Admiral Kurt Tidd, commander of the U.S Southern Command on Thursday, March 10, 2016 confirmed that two male military officers were diagnosed with Zika virus.
