Meningitis kills 61 people in Niger
In a recent data released by the World Health Organisation (WHO) Niger recorded a total of 61 deaths between January 4, 2016 to March 13, 2016 from meningitis.

The report shows that there were 248 infected cases in Niamey out of the 730 detected cases in Niger.
The age group of the recorded case is between five to 14 years.
In 2015, meningitis killed a total of 573 people out of the 8500 recorded cases detected in Niger.
