11 year old girl diagnosed of Lyell's syndrome blames soft drink

Ho Thi Kieu, 11 year old girl has been diagnosed with a rare, life threatening skin condition called the Lyell’s syndrome, soon after she consumed a bottle of soft drink.

Though Lyell’s syndrome is a disease caused by reactions from drugs, the family of the 11 year old believe the disease was caused by the soft drink.

According to , her family said she drank the soft drink bottle after school. Two hours later, her skin got swollen like being burned. She also suffered from breathing difficulties, fever and a sore mouth.
