The Kaduna State Government led by the governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai have unveiled a new primary health care law.

Speaking further, El-Rufai, noted that the implementation of the law would transfer workers in primary health care centres from local governments to the state civil service.

The law which would be protecting citizens on primary healthcare was unveiled on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the second Kaduna Health care Partners’ Summit held at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House, Kaduna.
While thanking the State Assembly for approving the bills, the governor said the new law permits the state to organise its primary health care activities under one roof.
Also unveiled were the approved draft bills on Drug Abuse and Witness Protection as well as reviewed progress in the recruitment of 2,550 youths for Kaduna State Traffic and Environmental Law Enforcement Agency.
