Food vendor confesses to using her urine to cook in Delta State

The woman confessed after she was severely beaten by an angry mob as they suspected her of being a witch.

A food vendor popularly called Mama T who is alleged to be a witch in Ughelli South local government area of Delta on Friday, January 2 confessed to have been using her urine to prepare moi-moi which she sells to the public.

According to reports, the woman is well-known throughout Ughelli for her special delicacies but got caught with her evil deeds after allegedly trying to kill a young man.

A young was said to be taking his bath when he was attacked by a rat. The surprised young man picked up a piece a wood to attack the advancing rat. After hitting the rat with the wood, it was alleged that the rat started increasing in size before eventually turning into a human being and disappeared afterwards, leaving two slippers behind.

The young man reportedly ran into town with the tale only to meet an angry mob surrounding a badly injured woman suspected of witchcraft. Eyewitness said some parts of the woman’s body were swollen which drew onlookers to her.

The young man was said to notice that the slippers the woman was wearing was the same as the one left by the person who disappeared after turning from a rat to a full human. The surprised unnamed boy raised the alarm which prompted the angry mob to descend on her.

After several minutes of beating by the mob, Mama T alleged confessed to a host of crimes including using her urine to prepare Moi-moi which she sells at her restaurant.
