Some Nigerian gays and lesbians led by top homosexual pastor, Rev. Jide Macaulay, almost caused a stir during President Muhammadu Buhari's visit to Britain when they staged a protest at the Nigerian House in London, demanding that the President repeal the anti-gay law that was signed by his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, in 2014.

Rev. Macaulay, founder of the only gay church in Nigeria, the House of Rainbow, where gays and lesbians openly worshipped, has been a thorn in the flesh of the Nigerian government since the passing of the Anti-Gay Law in Nigeria, organising and leading protest marches to various Nigerian high commissions and embassies abroad.

Macaulay,  the son of a staunch man of God and Professor of Theology, Augustus Olakunle Macaulay, shared photos of the protest on his Facebook page, where he led his people to demand for their rights.
