3 fraudsters get 91 years for stealing N114.6m from bank

Some former bankers who stole millions of from their bank have been jailed for 91 years.

The three fraudsters

Three fraudsters, Suleiman Ibrahim Musa, Bilyaminu Usman and Lawal Suleiman, has been jailed for a combined 91 years for defrauding a new generation bank to the tune of N114.6 million by a Kebbi Hi High Court sitting in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

The sentenced was handed down on them by Justice Ibrahim Mairiga with Musa getting 55 years, Usman seven years and Suleiman going in for 29 years.

The trio were convicted on a 16-count charge bordering on conspiracy, forgery, theft and criminal breach of trust brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), after they were found guilty of defrauding First City Monument Bank (FCMB), where they worked in 2010.
