Having started our operations in 2008 in eight (8) countries of the WAEMU zone and after being granted permission to operate from:

  • The Central Bank of the Republic of Kenya

  • The Central Bank of the Republic of Tanzania

  • The Central Bank of the Republic of Uganda

  • The Central Bank of the Republic of Ghana

  • The Central Bank of the Republic of Mozambique

  • The Central Bank of the Democratic Republic of Congo

Wari – Universal payment platform and digital financial solutions provider – has now been licensed by the Central Bank of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

With this license granted, Wari hereby launches its services in Nigeria allowing users to perform transactions such as:

  • Domestic and international remittances

  • Electricity bill payments

  • TV bill payments

  • Airtime top up

  • And more

Using any type of payment means: cash, card, account, voucher, wallet, etc.

Wari centralizes products and services from more than 1,000 partners, available in more than 500,000 direct and partner outlets in up to 60 countries in the world.

Wari has signed partnerships in Nigeria with:

  • UBA (United Bank of Africa)

  • UBN (Union Bank Of Nigeria)

  • Ecobank

And many other major banks and Micro-Finance Institutions in Nigeria.
